(“Providence”) is an Irish based oil and gas exploration and development company active in Ireland and the United Kingdom.  The Company is involved in oil production onshore UK and is involved in the exploration, appraisal and development of oil and gas opportunities offshore Ireland. The company is also involved in the evaluation of gas storage opportunities offshore Ireland.

In 2011, the Company announced plans to invest with its partners upwards of $500 million in the drilling of a number of exploration and development wells in the six basins in which it has licence interests offshore Ireland. This multi-year programme (2011- 2013) represents the largest drilling campaign ever carried out offshore Ireland.

Providence is listed on the AIM market in London and on Dublin’s ESM market. The Company has offices in Dublin and London. Providence continually assesses new ventures worldwide to expand its portfolio. Sir Anthony O'Reilly is our principal shareholder, holding c.20%, with institutional shareholders holding c.60%.
